February Book Club: A Lesson in Thorns by Sierra Simone

In honor of Valentine’s Day, this month we’re diving into a romance like no other. A Lesson in Thorns explores desire and power in a gothic mystery setting. At its heart, this book is a beautiful example of what the romance genre has to offer. It’s also an opportunity to touch on the enduring influence of T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, and the role genre fiction has historically provided for depictions of relationships shunned by the mainstream.

⚠️ CONTENT NOTE: This book contains explicit adult content, and themes of power exchange, kink, and polyamory. While tastefully written, it is undeniably “spicy.” Please be mindful of your comfort level before diving in. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
