Aaron lured me out of the house Saturday with the promise that if I went with him to get his oil changed, we could go to a bookstore after. I googled for suburban indies expecting maybe a little dusty shelf-and-a-dream situation and instead stumbled on Old Editions in North Tonawanda.

It's smack dab in the middle of the cultural wasteland where I grew up, and somehow I'd never even heard of it. They have EVERYTHING. Used books, rare books, vintage pulp (romance, adventure, sci-fi, horror, the works), cool old maps, prints, even horror movie posters which Aaron had to be peeled away from like a feral little poster-gremlin.

There's a photo of a TARDIS outside and we were like "ha ha cute" but it actually IS bigger on the inside. (Or it feels like there is at least some magic at work). I'm so mad I didn't take pictures but I was too busy marveling.

750% speed with many cuts bc I forgot I was recording after the first few minutes and a lot of me "editing" is just clicking through related words in the dictionary. 😂 Many thanks to @merriamwebster for enabling me.
